Hey everybody at Head-fi. I am stuck right now in choosing my next headphones. Since I have had one year with my Triple Fi 10 already. And my price range is 400 bucks or less. I have read countless reviews on the Westone 3 and 4. Also the Senn IE8, and the Shure triple driver model. I want to change headphones. But am really stuck. I listen to all kinds of music. Examples: Spanish Guitar,Alternative, Indie, Dubstep, Hardstyle, Electrohouse, Trance, Rock, Jazz, Pop, Hip Hop, 80's, and many more. And My UE's have been very faithful. I am not in a quest to get the best ones that sound the best. I know sound quality, My mom is a sound engineer, along with my uncle and myself going to pursue that career too. I love sound. Also what about the Grado in ear headphones? I heard and saw countless reviews that they are too much treble and when they break in the bas starts to kick in and be present. I would like for comparisons of all these models with my UE's to have an idea of soundstage, and the rest. IM mostly going to be using my android phone for music.

Just a question: If you're happy with the TF10s why are you looking for another pair?
That being said, I see a lot of recommendations for the Westones, Sony EX1000s, and Ortofon E-Q5/7s at that price range. Basically, though, you can pretty much get any top-tier IEM.

I am looking for another pair to just get a tast of other high end headphones. My hobby is to buy headphones. so thats why. and what would you recommend me?

So are you looking for something similar to the TF10s or something that complements it and works for other genres? As a complement, maybe you could look into the Sony EX1000, which is flatter and more neutral than your TF10s, or maybe Shures, which are mid-centric. Anything you're looking for in particular?

I highly recommend the EX1000s.  I'm beginning to love them even more than my long-time favorite, the FX700s.  They are balanced overall, with a slight treble emphasis and relaxed presentation.

Well I dont want the sound to be so flat. But I want it to be rich and clear.

They are definitely not flat and boring.  Rich and clear is a perfect descriptor for the EX1000 - seriously.

I'd suggest the Audio Technica CK10's or Sennheiser IE80's based on your genre's. Leaning more towards the IE80's. But I really hope the android phone your using has Voodoo Sound for DAC. If not, your completely destroying your musical experience.

well i feel if u listen to rock hip hop n basically all stuff n u like warm signature u should get the IE80 the latest flagship IEM by the German giants Sennheiser,as i did
and an advice, when u r going for such good iem's u should probably get a good dedicated source, i also have an galaxy s2 which is android based but i have got the ipod touch n clip+ for music listening.

Yeah samsung used to put a wolfstein DAC chipset for audio in there phones but they switched over to a yamaha oriented chipset and now adio is horrible on the SGSII (I own epic touch 4g)

Well I have an incredible 2. So can't use voodoo. Which sucks. And I was thinking in getting the westone 4. What are you guys opinion on them?

The W4s have exceptional clarity, separation, and soundstage for a BA IEM.  They are balanced overall with a slight emphasis on the mids.  Since the lows/highs are not really emphasized at all, they don't really have that "WOW factor" though like some IEMs do.
