Hi,
I have an old Denon AVR 3200 (not the newer 3200W), and am trying to work out how to do the following, and would appreciate any help that people can give with this:

1. I would like to be able to mute the output to the main speakers when I plug my headphones in (so that I can listen to the headphones only)

2. I would like to be able to adjust the volume of the headphones when listening to them without the volume going to the speakers.

I cannot find anything in the manual about working with the headphones, and cannot see anything in the 'Speaker Setup' section which would help with this.

Thanks for any attempts to help.

Usually with receivers the speakers do not output audio when a headphone is plugged into the receiver.
Does your Denon AVR-3200 still output speaker audio when headphones are plugged in?

Hi PurpleAngel,
Thanks for the reply.

Actually, the fact that plugging in the headphones did not cut volume to the speakers is the reason that I posted, because I wondered about that, too.

Audio is outputed to both the headphones and the speakers when I plug the headphones into the jack.

Any further help/thoughts/suggestions would be great.

Thanks.
