Help on Connections

Alright, first you all might think this is crazy, I can live with that.
I was trying to figure out how to use my Echobox explorer with the 1/8" audio or Toslink optical to connect as a input to a Hifiman EF499. All my music and cool playlist are on the echobox so it would be handy. Right now I run it into a Shiit magni Heresy as a preamp to a P20 using the balanced connectors to balanced out. Any ideas?

If you have a USB port on your router you could put your music on a USB stick and share it to the streamer. If your player supports it, you have two USB inputs to connect if it'll work. The simple way would be to share a USB drive on the router though.
