Hi! My friend is in Japan right now and I have the chance to ask him to buy me an Audio Technica IEM. (I recently bought FC700 and I was looking for a good IEM for portability)
 
I have read relatively good reviews here about CKS70 and CK55M.
 
Here are my questions.
 
1. Since CKS70 is a bass-specialist, will the CK55M be better for other sounds overall?
 
2. I have read that CKS90 offers little upgrade to CKS70, so I was wondering whether the CKM77 is like that for CKM55.
 
3. Will the 3 IEM mentioned be better or at par with my FC700?

If you don't consider yourself to be a hardcore basshead who don't care much for detail, I'll advise you stay away from CKS70.

So the CKS70 is only good for basshead? Actually I wanted an IEM with a better sound over its entire range.  Will CKM55 and CKM77 perform better than CKS70 regarding this matter? Thanks.

Perhaps other who listen to those can help you. My impression only limits to CKS70.

If you are in the states, Electronics Expo(In NJ) has the CKM77 and CKM99.  I believe there was a 40% off code as well(Google for it). That's under $100 including shipping. If you are in the states(not sure if you are) you might be better off buying them over here as far as returning them or any issues.

Code is TJOOSEXPO. I tried it a few days back and it worked; CKM99 was $170.
 
Check the reviews on Amazon Japan, etc. You'll have to get what you can from translated reviews if you or your friend can't read Japanese. There is a CKM70 vs. Radius DDM review on Head-fi that might help also. Assume that the CKM77 is a slight upgrade over the CKM70. The quality level should go CK>CK Pro>CKM>CKS and higher numbers are higher SQ level( 100>10, 77>70). This is not counting for preference or if AT botched one(CKM90 comes to mind). 
 
You should also have the CK70 Pro on your list. Your friend would need to get that one. And, like ClieOS, I really couldn't tell you what is better CK70 Pro or CKM77. You'll have to do a bit of homework.
