I just bought a beyer dynamic dt880, and I assume i will need an amp to support this headphone. I would like to know what amplifier you will get if you have a chance to go back to the time when you got your first piece of nice headphone. I can't afford shomething like $400. please give some $100-$200 scale amps. I am a student.(the last staement basically means i am poor)
appreciate your help a lot.
I had a beats by dre solo HD, cant satisified by it easily any more.

Welcome to the forum. This is the portable amp section...is that what you want or are you looking for a desktop amp(AC powered)? What is the impedance of your DT-880?

My suggestion is to use the search function. There are so many threads on this topic already so you'll be able to read much more info than what is likely to be posted here.

The biggest bang for your buck option that (at least I'm assuming it would based off what I've read) would work well with your DT 880, would be Fiio's E9 desktop amp.  It's got quite a bit of power(has been test to drive 600 Ohm pretty well) with the finesse and refinement of amps that are much more expensive.  A great value at around 130 us dollars.
