Help! Need headphones for gaming and music

I'm looking a pair of headphones for gaming and music, I'm pretty new to high quality headphones but I've been doing some research and want some input from more experienced people.
They will probably be used 60% for gaming and 40% music. I mainly play battlefield 4 and I like dance and hip-hop/rap music. I have a budget of around £250 which is about the same in dollars on amazon but could stretch it a bit if I needed to get a sound card or amp.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated, thanks,

Hi thanks for the reply. Although £250 is equal to $400 most of the prices on amazon are the same ( something £100 will be around $100)
