Hello,

I need a help from Head-Fiers.

I have a CIEM cable for JH Audio 4pin connector. It’s the Silver Dragon from Moon audio.

It is an unbalanced 3.5mm cable, but I like to replace the jack with 2.5mm 4pole TRRS to make balanced.
Is this doable?

The cable has 8 wires total (4L + 4R). Can I tie 2 each channel together and solder it to + and -?

Since the cable has fully independent cores for left and right, then yes you can do this. You will need a multimeter to work out which core is which.

Ok, so it is doable. I just need to figure out which to pair with and solder to the pin.

Seems like there is a lot to consider…
