Hi all I am no audiophile I just love listening to music when given the chance. I had a nice hi fi system with floor standing speakers etc all gone to make way for the kids and changing lifestyle. I missed my music so now I use headphones on my settee when the others are in bed. I have two pairs both bought from reviewing this site and other info. Sen hd598 and shure 1540. I play my music from iPhone iTunes or laptop iTunes. I want to know how to better this experience. Amp? Dac? I have no immediate plan to change any of these headphones so the equipment is for these and doesn't need to be portable. Any help appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my questions.

Is that it then. Buy this and it's perfection? Thought I may have had more knowledge passed on than this. Thanks protege though for your help I will look into it.

Well, what is your budget? The senns I know don't need much power, not so sure about the shure but purely from the specs it doesn't seem like they need a ton either.
Also, do you need this solution to be portable?

For the best bang for the buck (and considering where you are - shipping, taxes, etc) with what headphones you have, yes.

Of course if you can spend more and plan on getting something else later on, you can get just teh ODAC and then order the Meier Corda Jazz FF. Or really spend and go with either the Violectric V100 with optional DAC module, or the Meier DACcord FF and Classic FF.
