i am obsessed with this playlist at the moment:

are there any good violin piano duet albums? looking for performances, but compilation works too.
i've always wanted to like classical music, but never found it interesting, until now i guess (thanks to a show on amazon called mozart in the jungle). but i cant do the symphony/orchestra, gotta keep it simple via solo duet or trio.
i like highly dynamic expressive music, 'let loose, get wild' type stuff. not technically perfect refined scripted etc.

This is a pretty good list of complete works to get you started.  I would have made room for a Mozart sonata, but actually, it wouldn't have fit within the description of your likes.

For shorter selections, this looks like a good bet - full disclosure - I don't own it.

And even if you don't think full orchestras are your thing, try Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto.

If you want more of the same type, I would search for violin encores (favorites, favorite encores, showpieces etc.) album and you should find loads of stuff. Also note that many of the pieces were not written for violin and piano specifically. They might have been composed originally for orchestra or piano but then later transcribed to violin and piano.
