Only Arcam dealer in the area are big time snobs. If you don't buy the B&W 801's with the conrad Johnson's . Headphones??? How about Meridian 508 series or Creek CD53, Musical fidelity DAc?

Actually... come to think of it, you might want to audition some K-501's.

I was able to compare the HD600's, K1000's, and K-501's with a max. To be honest, the K-501's sounded the best to my ears. They have an awesome synergy with the Max.

My source recommendation: Philips SCD-1000

I could see where the 501's would match up nice with the Max. I had a pair. Nice bold midrange. time to sart looking. Again..

Keep an eye out for the new AT cans that should start seeing reviews in about a week from today!! Depending on your tastes you can look into the limited edition A1000, or go with the wooden W1000. We'll all see soon enough how they sound.

Second, give those snobs a chance and audition some Arcam stuff!! It made a HUGE difference going from the CA D500SE to the Arcam. HUGE!!

Well, that narrows it down a bit: R10, W2002, W1000.

The story of three little cans (adapted from 3 Little Pigs)

The First one is impossible to find,

second is no longer made and also hard to find,

third one.... is just right!! New, wood, not too expensive!!! Sounds like a winner!!! Just have to wait for the reviews to make sure it upholds the family honor!!!
