Help me I'm desperate for a USB device that can send via TOSLINK 5.1 content to a receiver from my computer.

I've been struggling with this for a while. Been sending 5.1 audio to my receiver from the TV out (both ARC and TOSLINK) but struggling with some serious audio delay issues. The audio delay can be small and sometimes for some reason its like 300ms! It's insane.
I just need a device that can do this for me. I bought a USB card but it didn't support most 5.1 compressed formats and had to return it. Been thinking about picking this one up:

I don't need anything fancy, I guess. I live in Brazil but I do have the opportunity to bring something from the US for that objective next month. Any ideas? I dont wanna spend much, and also willing to dabble in the used market.

THanks!

Why even send audio from the TV to the receiver?
Usually it's the receiver that send audio to the TV.
What sources are you using for all audio and video?

My receiver is older, its a Denon 3313 CI. And my TV is LG Oled C1. My receiver cant deal 4K @120Hz.
So as it is now, I have HDMI 2.1 going from my RTX 4080 to my TV. Then TOSLINK out from the TV to the receiver and also ARC going to the receiver. Tho I do get 5.1 properly from both, both also get some sizable audio delay.

The Denon 3313 CI might come with a video pass-thru feature, so turn off the video pass thru on the Denon.
And run HDMI from computer to Denon and HDMI from Denon to TV,
Or just run optical from computer to Denon.

My computer has no optical out. My motherboard before had it, but not this one. Big mistake.,
As far as I can tell my Denon is not sending video of any kind, since it had an accident, I was moving from São Paulo to Maceió and the moving truck tumbled over. And even if it was fine, I doubt its HDMI out could send HDMI 2.1 signal. It's only HDMI 1.4a, just checked.

That is exactly what I'm looking for, as long as it can decode 5.1
I would suggest getting a low cost PCI-E sound card, that has an optical output port and comes with Dolby and DTS.
Several options for used ones, for under $50, on eBay.

Lol, my problems dont stop there. My RTX 4080 occupies all my expansion cards. Yes, a PCI-E sound card would be the best option. But full ATX motherboards are a FORTUNE in Brazil. And high end gpus are all too thicc and block the other expansion slots.

Ok, than get an external USB sound card, with optical output port and comes with (hopefully) both Dolby and DTS.

As a computer technician, I'd say your best bet is to do research and find a PCIE sound card with SPDIF output which has no signal delay AND supports the output formats you're searching for. There are lots of options. In future though, it's always best to get motherboards that include SPDIF out as those tend not to have any delay and good format support especially on a high grade motherboard. I wouldn't recommend a USB>SPDIF converter as that's going to junk up the signal unless you get a really good one and a sound card is a more cost effective route.
