Ok, here's the deal.

I'm in Washington, DC...

I need to get to Morristown, NJ for a wedding. How do I do it?

I've noticed Amtrak does not go to Morristown, and that NJ Transit (which I've never used) does not go to Washington DC. Is there a way to take Amtrak up to a certain point and then switch to NJ Transit for the rest of the way?

Thank you!

You could take Amtrak to Philadlephia's 30th Street Station. Then
Septa: R7 to Trenton
NJT: Northeast Corridor Line (NEC)
NJT: M&E - Morristown Line (MNE)

or take Amtrak to NYC then
NJT: M&E - Morristown Line (MNE)

Well, first, double check:

Is it Moorestown or Morristown?

The biggest transportation hub near Morristown is Seacaucus Junction.

What I would do is take Amtrak into Manhattan. Then go to Penn Station NYC (that might be where Amtrak goes in - not sure). From there, you can hop on a train that goes to Morristown.

You can also take Amtrak to Newark and then NJT out to Morristown. By cutting that trip into the city out and you should save some time.
