Hey guys,

Third time lucky , on my third thread! , i still cant work out what to get , looking for a set of headphones. I mainly listen to Dance and Techno music , so im looking for a high definition , high clarity , and very clear sound but has pumping bass when its needed. The headphones need to be closed or sealed aswell , as I dont want any sound to leak out of my headphones.

Ive been looking for at a few Technics models and Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic and I have pick out several models that are a possibility.

Alessandro MS-1
Beyerdynamic DT770 (DT880, DT990 ?)
Sennheiser HD595
Sennheiser HD280pro
Sennheiser HD25SP
Sony MDR-700DJ
Technics DP1210 or DH1200
Audio Technica AD700

your preferences guys on what would suit me the best !

Thanks guys.

I am looking at getting a pair myself, it sounds like the 770/80 should work. Bright highs, slightly recessed mids and pumping bass.

DT770. Its the lower mids that are recessed IMHO.
I also find the K240s pretty bassy too, but its mids are smoother and less shouty than the DT770.

Both will need an amp to sound their best.

Not sure... Ive heard good things about the Yamaha preamps
of the mid/late 80s. not sure about their current receivers though.
