I know you guys just love giving out recommendations, so here goes..
Having just bought a little dot mkv to go with my 595's, I am now thinking of upgrading my phones.
ATM, I am thinking of 650s, but I'd like to hear a few of your thought before I spend my wages on some cans. (sub £200 is the goal..)

I mostly listen to rock type music (Talk Talk, Pink Floyd, The Cure, David Bowie, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Cocteau Twins, Sisters of Mercy) but also some jazz and some classical.

I think I can get the hd650s for around £150, for that price, would those headphones be a good choice for my kind of music?
I know Grado is meant to be a good choice for rock, but in my price range, the est I can manage are maybe the sr-225.

thoughts?

Why not get two cans? The SR-225s are fantastic for rock, not so good for Pink Floyd, though. You also listen to jazz and classical, so I'd say maybe the HD-600 for that. You might be able to fit both of those in for that amount.

Having spent time with the HD650, I recommend it for any music. But perhaps some here would recommend the 600 for your tastes. I only spent a couple minutes with it, so I can't say for sure.

That sounds like a pretty good idea. The HD-600 would be a good fit with your tastes and the SR-225 will let you rock out.

Guys, he is in Old Europe, the prices for Grados are just ridiculus there. If Grado sound is desired outside the US, the affordable Alessandros are the way to go - they are better than Grados anyway IMO.
