I decided this time to not buy Apple product, so I'll need a little advice on other options. To make long story short, I need player with good sound quality, that is not slow, and optionaly has large space. This last is not a must, mostly cuz of price, but post what alternatives I have and I'll see what fits me best. I saw Cowon has some nice ones, dunno how are they ranged by your opinion. X7 model is with large HDD, don't know anything else. Cheers

Sony, Cowon or Sansa Clip (plus or zip) would seem to be the main alternatives.

Cheers.

The iBasso DX100, HM-801 has amazing soundquality and X7 is recommended too for great soundquality and large capacity.

I have a Sanza Clip + for about a week now. I'm NEVER going to buy an iPod again.

The Clip + is such lightweight, and as functional as it can be. Great SQ, nice battery life (charges very fast plugged on a USB port) and if you Rockbox the little thing, you get a TON of EQ options, a nice crossfeed option (that i yet have to learn how to use it) and a couple more feautures that i can't remember from the top of my head. And oh, i already told you that is cheap? Yeah, it's cheap.

Storage wise, put a 32GB microSD  inside it and be happy, you can even carry multiple SD for different music libraries (Lossless, mp3, etc)

Those are my 2 cents.

I had a Clip and Clip Zip before getting the Cowon J3. IMHO it hands down better for SQ cause of the excellent EQ. It also has a much better battery life over the Sansa's.

Are you talking about Cowon J3 in second sentence, that it's better?

Sansa Fuze+ is inferior compared to Clip+, if I got it right from Wiki and Sandisk website?

And one n00b question, Sandisc supports micro SD from other manufacturers, not just it's own?

Latt one, how X7 stands over quality compared to Sandisks players?

I recommend Samsung Galaxy S WiFi (Player) 4.0 with Voodoo Sound Plus for sublime SQ. Other than that the Sony, Sansa and Cowon DAPs are very good.

Yes, I prefer the Cowon J3 to the 2 Sansa players I had.
