Help me choose an economic headphone extension

Well, I can find the grado extension in a local store: but are you sure that they are a better quality product than those custom-made ones? The Grado seems cheaper to me; correct me if i'm wrong.

It depends who you ask, if you are bothered by them go with Blue Jean Cable.

If you mean cheaper as in they cost less, you're right.

If you mean cheaper as in lower quality, I would disagree.

I am right this second using a Grado extension and the SQ is superb.

Why spend more than you need to?

EDIT: Actually, on further investigation, the cables you referenced are less expensive that the Grado extension.

I really can't comment on the extensions you referenced, they may actually be bargains. Hard telling, not knowing...

The recommendation for Blue Jeans cables now makes more sense. They have a solid reputation for quality products. I have a couple of their IC's in my system and they are excellent.
