I've personally always had good experience buying with MEelectronics, and their warrenty service is very straight foward as well. No hassel.
 
I've tried out the M6 and the A151 their first pair of BA driver IEM, both were well worht the price. Very high C/P value.

especially for the M6, is the sound balanced? like is there just enough bass or is there too much bass that it overflows into the mid and high?

Take out the FX1X and replace them with the FX101 and then buy them. Some of the sellers list them as JVC Inner-ear Headphones, but you'll see in the technical details they list their FX101 model number.

Yes the M6 as a very nice low end, and it does cover up a bit of the highs, but not to the point where it's muffled. Keep in the mind the price for a 10 plus USD IEM...it's seriously nothing to complain about.
 
The A151 on the other hand is more balanced with a slight scew to the lows too. Maybe this one is more of ur taste. Right now the MEelectronics have a 20% site wide sale. It's a good time to try them out.

What do you think of the R1 (the wooden headphones)? they seem to have good sound quality and not too expensive on Amazon

Yes, the FX1X has too much bass which is why I said to remove them from consideration and consider the FX101 instead. They have great bass, and the mids and highs are still pretty clear. I use them every day.

IMHO having a few of them i will rank them as this:

Fx40
Phillips 3580
Fx101
M6


I wouldnt consider the fx1x, its a mess, its all about bass and thats all, mids and highs are mediocre,has to be the worst iem i got, at least the plastic case is good and i use it for my fx40.


The m6 is good, but again, IMHO, the 3580 is miles ahead of them, not only on bass but gots better mids and highs, only problem is that the cable makes a lot of noise and its anoying while runing or at a gym.

If you want a good all arounder, then i would pick the 3580 or fx101.

The fx40 is the more clear and detailed of all them, the bass is not as prominent as in the 3580 or fx101, but still they can go low, low as the m6. The bass is the foundation of their sound and doesnt mess at all with the mids, so thats why they can be clear and detaile. Problem with them is that they are treble happy and maybe that would not work for all, i dont listen to music over 65% more than that and there treblenes could be a problem in noisy places. but if you dont have problem with some more treble or you have eq to tone down some highs you willl find why joker gave them 7.2 points even dont even likem them. The m6 recieved 5.7 points, and i am telling you that there is a huge diference betwem them. The detail and clarity is outstanding for something at this price, still haven heard an iem under 20 with such level of detail and clarity, the mids are better than the fx101 and 3580.

The fx101 and 3580 are a very close match, the only reason i pick the 3580 over the fx101 is beacuse even if the bass is not that loud i find it more detailed and controled also becausenthey are tiny and they fit easly, not fitment issues with them you will forget your using them, the fx101 is way bigger but even at that there are no fitment issues with them, the size of the fx40 is in the midlle of this two and are very easy to use.

3580 vs fx101. they are both very good iems at the price range, the fx101 bass is biger and they sound louder at the same level of volume. Both are few steps above the m6 not only in bass but in SQ overall.

The cord is fine, there is no build or quality issues, even if there are more noisy than what is found in the fx101, i prefer the cable of the 3580. It doesnt tangle at all, the cable of the fx101 seems to be on the cheaper side.

Dont have the m16 so i cant comment on those.

Are you talking about earbuds or IEM's?
 
Apparently the Hisoundaudio Paa1 Pro are bassy earbuds that also have good mids. However, they cost around $50...

I currently own a pair of the FX1X's, and yes the bass does kind of cover the other ranges. The FX101's are a definite improvement over the FX1X's. They really bring out the mids/highs much better.
