Hi everyone,
I was wondering if people with some SE846's at hand could help me out with a very simple thing. I bought a pair of Shure SE846 Clear on eBay, and when I got them one didn't work as it was missing the small pin inside the connector. The seller promptly sent me one IEM back, when I tried it, it immediately sounded different than the other, and it turns out has a different filter (black, vs. blue on the other). HOWEVER, as I was inspecting it, I noticed some differences in the soldering on the top of the IEM. I want to ask for your help comparing it to the ones you have, as all I've ever seen are used ones. I'm attaching some pictures that mark where the differences are, as you can see, a component seems to be soldered in one and not on the other. Pictures online have not been helpful and I've actually seen it both ways. I wonder if it's a different version kind of thing, or maybe one of these has been poorly repaired. Thanks!
