I currently use my E4C at work and i feel too isolated when i'm using it, I need an open headphone alternative that doesnt leak sound significantly. So no IEMs and Grados as they are too noisy. No amp so portable use only. My main option at the moment is KSC75, they dont isolate as well so they will enable me to hear things around me, but how much noise do they leak out say compared to the Grados?

How about a closed headphone that doesn't isolate nearly as much? The Audio Technica ES7 comes to mind as a stylish work headphone. The AKG K81 or K181 also look good, as do the Sennheiser HD 25-1 and HD 25SP. All of these isolate less than the Shure, but don't leak any sound at all.

HD201 seems to be a popular "work headphone".

Don't think it isolates completely, you should be able to hear the phone ring or someone behind you, if you don't play music too loudly.

good luck
