Right now I just have computer speakers so what type of connectors do you need to get a sound out of the damn thing lol. Also I am getting my amp either tom or friday, what cables are needed to get that to make a sound. Thanks

You need 1/4" to RCA or RCA->RCA and 1/4" adapters to connect the emu to your amp.

For computer speakers, you can only connect the front 2 speakers if they are multi channel speakers, you would need a mini (3.5mm) stereo to a Y mono adapter, probably easiest to find RCA(phono) and then some rca -> 1/4" adapters.

You should be able to find that all at radioshack.

Thanks, just one more silly question, these are going to the balanced right and left outputs right, how do I control them to stop clipping.

Thanks again

Ok think I got it down,
buy two of these Gold Phono-to-Mono Adapter

then plug in the rca cables and that should do it for the amp, and the amp is also a preamp so get another pair of rca cables with a rca to mini adaptor and voala a full set up.
Thanks for the help

Patchmix will let you control everything.

Choose -10 DB for unbalanced, or +4 for balanced.

There are also a variety of volume and trim controls that will let you reduce the volume and keep it from clipping. Play around with Patchmix, there are several options.
