I can't say that I'm unhappy with these headphones. They're awesome.

But, when I blast the music real loud, the left channel starts to make a farting noise like the speaker's going to blow out. This shouldn't happen because it's not even running them at maximum volume from my A/V receiver.

Is this issue due to the wires? It only occurs on the left channel and I think there's an issue about the wires that come with these cans.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the 580s and had a low distoration and sent them to sennheiser and they said that the voice coil was rubbing and causeing the problem and replaced the right speaker with a new one at no charge.

Well, the obvious solution is to NOT BLAST MUSIC REAL LOUD! I'm shouting so you can hear me because in a few years you won't be able to hear anything.

Hell. they're your ears... When you've swtched over th V600s becasue you can't tell the difference I'll make you a good offer on the HD600s.

I wasn't listening to it that loud, i was just testing it out.
