Hi!

At home I enjoy my Audio Technica ATH-A900Ti with Corta Cantate, but now I'm looking for some new Headphones for my Sony NWZ 828 (I don't want to have my A900Ti with me in stormy weather).

These new HP I'm looking for should be closed or half-closed, they should cover my whole ears and as I think my head might be a little bit bigger than usual they should fit me

Price up to $180 and I don't want to use a portable amp (at least for a couple of time...)

I've already done some research, but I'm a little bit confused about all the reviews I read.

What do you recommend?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

So far I came up to these headphones:

Order I'd prefer to buy

1. Audio Technica ATH-M50
2. Ultrasone PROline (550) 650 - I read the 650 are better built, but $50 more
3. Denon D1001

Then there are ATH-A700 and ATH-A55 which I've no idea either placing them on the top or bottom of my list

I've heard a lot of good things about those Denons, and they seem to fit your requirements. Some thing the Audio-Technica ES7s are better, though, so you might want to look those up. Not familiar with the rest of your suggestions, sorry. I'm getting my 1001s in the mail soon...
