Hey im awaiting the arrival of my iPod and ripping all my CDs to high quality MP3 via EAC and LAME, ive done about 10-15 so far and MOST have worked. When i tried to do it to Linkin Park - Meteora and Foo fighters - One by one its randomly frozen about half way through and ive had to force quit. I dont really care much about the Linkin park cd because its pretty bad anyways

Its totally legal if you own the CD, do you know of any way to get around it?

I don't think it's copy protection. I've copied and ripped both my Linkin Park and Foo Fighters discs without a problem.

I don't think the mods would like you asking around for these mp3's.

What program are you using? Maybe your CD is a bit scratched - try using EAC and lame and toying with the settings - i've gotten my CDs to rip with lesser demanding settings.

I dont know ive tried both twice and they both have frozen and i havent had any trouble with any other CD's, would you mind sending me the Foo Fighters MP3s the Linkin Park CD i dont really like and i dont care about much. Im too afraid to mess with the settings because i really dont know much about how to use that program, i just copied the high quality rip instructions.

BoardC3, sorry, but I had to edit the part of your post asking for people to send you MP3s. I realize that you may own the CD, but it's not worth risking trouble for Head-Fi.

I don't know about the Foo Fighters album, but I've ripped Metora, and I didn't have any problems.

Also give Metora a couple more listens, I did, and found that I really liked it even though I had been very disappointed at first... It kinda grew on me. Now I like the whole album.

Ya thats what another guy said about meteora, i tried twice before and gave up. I liked meteora the first few times i heard it but really didnt after haha. glad you enjoy it.
