I got my go vibe but the I cant use it because the input jack lost the nut that holds it ti the enclosure. I've been to all my local harware stores and none of them carry it.

The go vibe uses the switchcraft 3.5 mm stereo phone jack from mouser ( part# 502-35RAPC4BH3)

can any one tell me what size/thread nut I need?

Jerb,

From the drawings on Switchcraft's site, the threading would appear to be M6 (metric). Most of the jacks seem to be the same threading, so you might just go buy a crap jack at Ratshack and use the nut. I have a pari of these at home and could try a ratshack nut on one and see what happens if you like. Otherwise, contact Switchcraft, as a thin wall nut (hex or other) would be hard to source.
