I'm chasing an article on a CD player that I read on the 'net a while ago.

It basically said that the headphone out on the CDP + AKG K-701 = audio bliss, and comprehensively beat many external amplifiers.

I can't remember the brand or model of the CDP, but does anyone know the article I'm talking about?

I've Googled search after search and can't find it. Help!

I often heard AKG 701 without Amp does not sound its best. From my own experience, it's actually not that bad.
