In order of importance I'm looking for closed-backs with great comfort, sound isolation, durability, ease of drivability without an amp, good bass presence, and relative portability. Normally SQ and accuracy trumps all else but for my current application I'm willing to trade some SQ for the above qualities if that makes sense.

Also considered the Senn HD380 Pros, Shure SRH840s, and a couple others but not sure how they all compare in sound isolation and comfort.

The 32 Ohm minimum and bulkiness of the DT770 are all that concerns me; and the fact that the 32 Ohm ones don't come with their signature velour pads :(.

This post was made in haste so I apologize for its lack of quality.

How do the DT770s compare to the Sennheiser HD 380 pros? DT770s for $120 or 380 Pros for $150? I really like that the cable detaches from the Senns and they include a carrying case, and they are slightly less bulky and heavy. How do the sound, isolation, comfort, and mobile drivability compare?

What sources will you be plugging the headphones into?

Well they will be a gift for a non-audiophile who wouldn't care to buy an amp or DAC. Just plugging them into a laptop and phone during travel and video-editing sessions. Said person appreciates listening to music but values the idea of great comfort and isolation more than unforgivingly accurate sound reproduction.

I feel like ideally I'd like something under 32 Ohms for ease of mobile drivability but I'm having difficulty finding a quality headphone that fits the rest of my criteria. I don't want to buy a headphone whose full potential won't be being met, you know? I'm considering opting for a more commercial headphone with more technological bells and whistles like BT or ANC. I think she'd appreciate the Bose QC35, for instance, since she's not anaudiophile, but they are out of my price range and the durability concerns me.
