Help! Correct pricing on HD800?

Hello,
 
I recently bought an HD800 for around 1700 cad (tax and shipping included). Was this a reasonable price? Some financial issues came up and I need to get this pair off me (I can't return it as it was final sale) and I'm wondering what is a reasonable price for HD800 BNIB according to you guys? Extremely sorry if this has been posted. I'm not sure if the value on the product page on headfi as 1500 USD is presently correct as this line was released years ago.

The above for sale item was posted shortly after your started your thread. It is for a new, barely taken out of the box, set of HD800. It is for $775 (USD). The HD800 seems to have been eclipsed by the HD800S, at least in terms of market value.
