Help choosing headphones

If your ears are bigger than 65mm. the other one to go for is the Fidelio - that's more 'lively' than the Momentum and a good all-rounder - it actually has quite a similar sound signature to the Momentum.

I haven't heard anything about the Fidelios being lively, everything seems to say it might be boring for some people.

. But from what I've heard, they're less comfortable than the others, they're on-ear instead of over-ear

Hes probably still talking about the on ear momentum.

Right - sorry - I just havn't heard anyone talk about the on-ear Momentum being uncomfortable. I'm assuming he's read about the full size one, and people's discomfort issues, and mixed the two up.

I thought the L1 was excellent with Radiohead.

I also listen to alternative music, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Audioslave...
Don't know if you are interested in trying a Grado headphone, but they perform excellent IMO for rock genres, and for that matter I feel any genre. Keep in mind they are an open back design, so they do leak sound, but you didn't state that this would matter.

I forgot about the Grados. Oh, and the P3 is a useless bundle of garbage.

By the way, I only got "alternative rock" by Googling my favourite bands - Bastille, The Script, Imagine Dragons, Coldplay and Fun. The Wikipedia page for all of them said "alternative rock". I don't really pay attention to styles of music, I just like whatever sounds good.

I'd like them to be closed or semi-open like the L1s. What's so bad about the B&Ws?

The P3 is just about the absolute worst headphone to come out last year.
Massively over-rated and over-priced.

Maybe you should wait for the new Fidelio L2/M2 to come out before making any decisions.

I haven't heard the P7 yet. It sure looks beautiful.

You still haven't given any reasoning.

If something is grossly over-priced, that's a pretty good reason if you ask me.
