Was looking at some stuff on Audiophiletechnica:
Welcome to Audiophilechina
Potentially C&C box tube, but I've no experience with tubes. Safer route was thinking something solid state in the LittleDot lineup. LittleDot MKI+ for example.
My only experience with amping headphones is my old Headroom Airhead, their entry level piece. I broke the headphone out ports on that one by riding around with my mountain bike with my Grado SR-125s (the adapter has straight 1/8" jacks so overtorqued the port as things shifted, this time I'll have the adapter from Cardas (via Headroom) which terminates in a right angled 1/8").
That's the other thing. I have these SR-125s, which I love, but read somewhere in here I need to match amp to headphone in efficiency.
*Edit: realize probably should have put this in the portable amps forum. (1st post).
