Hi all,
While I'm new to HeadFi I've been an audio enthusiast for 30+ years. I recently scored a Bryston BHA-1 headphone amp for my desktop rig. Of course now I feel the need to have some decent cans to go with it.
Years ago I had the best headphone I had heard and could afford, a set of Stax SR-44. I had those cans for probably 15 years before they gave up the ghost. I literally wore the earpads off of them.
So I'll be mostly lurking and learning, asking questions, looking for headphone events to try stuff. I think Echo Audio in Portland may be one of the brick-n-mortars left that have a reasonable selection to try. If anyone knows of another store that has a decent selection in PDX, SEA, or ? let me know.
Thanks,
JakeJ
