Welcome! Maybe my favorite country I've ever had the pleasure of visiting, largely due to the down to earth and friendly people I met there. So nice and willing to share stories of their lives when asked. Curious and genuine people and I had so many lengthy conversations that I'll never forget. Every other person was like an old friend.

Hello. Going to Trieste/Slovenia Bled area and Ljubljana first six days, then Istria for a week. Any quick notes on Istria? Thank you.

If you are going now it might be cold so prepare a jacket and warm clothes, make sure to look out for Bura (strong winds) in some places they are weaker and in some stronger so just look out to not get hurt. For now in Croatia we still pay in kuna so make sure to convert your money in the bank (any bank there) not in the exchange offices in the city, they will have worse exchange rates. For shops in Istra you should stick to Lidl, Konzum and Kaufland for best quality (small shops charge more). I really can't think of anything else if you have any questions feel free to ask!
