Hello,
This is my first post here and I have a question about IEM's. At home I have a Objective DAC > O2 > HD650 and I am really happy with how it sounds, and the clarity of the music.
I had been using the apple ear pods with my phone for when I'm at the gym or at work until they broke. The audio quality wasn't outright bad, but it wasn't good.
I have been looking around at the Shure IEM's, specifically the 535 and the 425. From all of the data I went through on innerfidelity The Shure 535's seem like they are the best responding to square wave signals and impulses, as well as a good bass.
From the data the HD650's seem to be very similar in response and tone to the 425's. At the same time, it looks like the 535's might be more clear sounding. Would you recomend trying to match the characteristics of the HD650's or try to go for the "best" sound availible?
I mainly listen to Guns n Roses, RHCP, Iron Maiden, and a few others in this area.
Would the 535's work well for these genres? Do you have any other recommendations for under $400?
Thanks
