ACK! Okay, I recently got the urge to upgrade my ksc-50's to 35's (due to fit and the fact that the 50's were kinda broken)

so, I searched yahoo, and found this wonderful webpage that calculates the place to get them cheapest, with shipping to my area code!!

http://shopping.yahoo.com/shop?d=zhp...tal&sortOrder=

Anyways, so I ordered them, by visa, throu AOKnet, which was cheapest.....

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/jvc-wholesale/

but, erm, I just got an email, and I want to know what to do....

This is what the e-mail read:

"Hello Jonathan,

I am sorry to say that the Koss KSC-35
have been discontinued and are no longer available.
I have just updated our site.

Please let us know what you would like for a replacement.

Sincerely, Paul

I replied that I wanted a refund, and that I already had what the inferior replacement is.....

so, um, now what?

Anything to improve my chances of getting a refund, and, like, actually getting these headphones?

Ah, ****it, I'm buying from Headroom as soon as I get a refund....

Buy it from headroom...NOW!!!

Also......disturbing trends at Koss.

I have a feeling the SportaPro is going to be replaced with the KSC-55, and the KSC-35s have already, apparently, been replaced by the KSC-50s. What next!?

Fortunately I have a pair of these, but I went ahead and ordered a second pair from Koss's web site. They charge $6 shipping which is not a great deal but not totally unreasonable. $35.99 for a pair of these is not a bad deal at all!

That other place? What? The manufacturer? Oh yeah - forget them. Who needs manufacturers when you've got excellent retailers, right?

(I know the "other place" you were referring to was AOKNet....but...)

BTW, I emailed Koss today for clarification of the fate of the KSC-35s. I'll post their response here if and when I receive it.

I currently have two pairs of 35s new in the package in storate just in case they were ever discontinued

Don't let them get away with not refunding your money. They probably have had the KSC-35'S discontinued for days now and just haven't bothered to change the status on their site. This way people will make an order and then they might be forced to buy something else anyways when they find out there is no KSC-35 left.

Well, it turns out that, THANK GOD, this AOK website only authorized the charging on my Visa card, and they hadn't actually CHARGED me yet (probably in case something like this happens), so, it all worked out. I just got another email from this Paul dude. Anyways, I'm now waiting for my KSC-35's from Headroom!

Heheh

Well.....don't bash AOKNet - I love those dudes! They gave me my KSC-35s and Senn. 495s (which I still haven't heard!)......

The (unfortunate) response I got from Koss:

Quote:

thank you for contacting Koss Stereophones.

We continually update our line of stereophones. The KSC-35 is a discontinued model, but the KSC/50 does have the same driver

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

The KSC-35 is my FAVORITE headphone! My first "audiophile" phone. My first decent can. My first......
