100+ Head-Fier
For those who got it, Is it worth the money? I’m kidding. How good is it?

The first one is already worth it to me with EQ. These are going to be neutral but the quality of their drivers lets you tune them however you like. An eq that works with this headphone distorts my other headphones.I don’t want another boring sound headphone like the LCD-5
Can you tell me how to do EQ. I am clueless. The first one is already worth it to me with EQ. These are going to be neutral but the quality of their drivers lets you tune them however you like. An eq that works with this headphone distorts my other headphones.
You can use software called EqualizerAPO for free or you can use a schiit Loki/lokius. Worth the price if you prefer simplicity/knobs.Can you tell me how to do EQ. I am clueless.
Thanks for your commentThank you! Nice initial impressions and write up.
I just checked and it looks like my Heddphone two GTs will be delivered by late Thursday. I'm excited. I'm also excited because we have the same Cayin HA-300B MKII amp and I also run a pair of the Elrogs, the MO in my case. But really thrilled to hear that the Heddphone two GT will scale with a powerful and beefier amp.
I'll also jump in and share my thoughts later once I've gotten my Heddphones in hand and I've had some hedd time with them!
Fun times ahead!
I'm not sure. On Cayin C9, at high gain via 4.4mm output, sourced (via USB connection) by iFi Gryphon's 4.4mm output, meaning the highest power from such (trans)portable chain I have to pass 50% volume on most tracks. 13 o'clock is fine for most tracks though. Not sure if Mojo 2 (with 600 mW output @30 Ω (4.2 V RMS) vs C9-4.4mm's 2600 mW @32 Ω) would have enough juice to power them properly. They somehow seem to be more power-hungry than Susvara and HE6se to me, so far at least. Either way, even if it can drive the GT to decent listenning levels, it won't do them justice, i.e., you're not going to get the best out of your HEDDphones. Will
Will Mojo 2 able to drive it?
Oh yes, they do need lots of power to shine, somehow even more than Susvara, IMO. I'm still awaiting my Tungsten DS (ordered late Apr ), curious to see which one is harder to drive.I've noticed my Heddphone 2s shine with lots of power. I have to turn the knob more to reach similar levels of volume compared to other cans. They can be fatiguing so I highly recommend EQ. I use a Gustard R26, drive them with a HeadAmp MKII, and EQ with my Lokius. I love knobs for EQ. Pushing the bass and toning down the mids and some higher frequencies a bit is very fun. Allows me to turn the knows higher so the bass and rumble is felt more while still retaining detail.
Actually it's comfortable for people with very small heads too.According to the media gallery, It looks like the headphone fits comfortably with people with large heads...
Unless you want to do it by ear (which would be hard if you're new probably) you might want to wait for measurements for the GT. Otherwise you might be weird results by accidentally eq-ing dips or peaks of high distortion. Can you tell me how to do EQ. I am clueless.
I just got my HEDD GT today and am already blown away by the AMT driver! I'm also using an iFi Pro iDSD Sig to Pro iCAN Sig which is preamping to a ZMF Aegis (built by Cayin btw). The GT needs oodles of gain, especially since I absolutely adore it loud as F. However, the Aegis VU meters are going bonkers and produces very audible distortion on bass notes. As the Aegis has no gain switch, only an impedance output switch, the only solution is to use the XLR output at high impedance, which is 85 ohms. That's roughly twice the input impedance of the HEDD GT... but, astoundingly, it sounds amazing like this! It’ll be interesting to hear how the GT performs on even more powerful amps. I’m glad I ignored some advice and kept my Pro iCAN Sig as a preamp to the HA-300MKII—it adds the extra juice and heft that really complement the Elrogs.
Firstly, congratulations on receiving your new Heddphone Two GT! Mine have been delayed for what UPS is saying was a customs issue but are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Normally, I would never even attempt this setting with low impedance headphones, and I was expecting it to sound awful, but I actually prefer it's sound signature at 85 ohms and the VU meters are within perfect limits now. However, is it even remotely possible I could be doing damage to the AMT drivers?
