I'm just excited to see a woman interested in headphones from a non cosmetic viewpoint.

How is the clamp force compared to the regular Heddphone 2? I loved the sound on those, but my big head couldn’t handle the clamp force even at the lowest setting.

I've never worn the OG H2 but I'm pretty sure the ergonomics of the two are identical. I can tell you, however, that the velour pads on the GT are comfortable enough to mitigate the clamping pressure a lot. I'd say that clamp force is necessary, though, because of a combination of the set's weight and needing to ensure a seal is maintained while moving your head around on all axis.

By the way, it's unique ergonomics allows it to fit over (likely) any VR headset and keep it in place perfectly. Surprisingly, it's hefty weight combined with a bulky VR headset doesn't actually bother me at all... I believe this is a direct result of the correct amount of clamping pressure. I can finally enjoy VR gaming without compromising on audio quality! The GT is a BIG TIME keeper for me.

Hm.
Hard to say, but i'd rang the GT pads a bit stiffer than the H2 pads.
GT pads will stay in shape much longer.
Could cause more trouble based on your description.

Thanks. I’ll just move on. 👍

I might as well share a sneak peek into my review too then, it's not yet published but happy holidays and all that: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/heddphone-two-gt-air-motion-transformer-headphones/
I must say, your reviews are truly superb, from every and any vantage point. They exude detail and quality and are a clear demonstration of the labor of love you have for the hobby. I just wanted to personally thank you and extend my highest compliments. I find them a tremendously valuable contribution.

I just had a chance to attend a HEDD/Headphones.com event yesterday and walked away convinced that the GT will be in my collection. I actually just read your review today and it aligns with my exact sentiments from yesterday.

PS- try to get your hands on ES Labs ES-2a (corrected the few minor weaknesses of the ES-1a) they will be special

Thank you for your kind words.

Unfortunately ES Labs had previously mentioned they don't have review loaners, and there are no dealers in the UK either to help with testing one out.

Why does this headphone reminds of Meze Empyrean? Their hand made? production process and built structure is almost identical to each other.

First release of finished/“polished” sets will be in March according to Mr. Benson Wong. So maybe after that review units will be sent out?
