Hi Nomax.
Im one of those persons, who try to decide, what hp i want to get. The V2 or the GT.

Can you describe the different qualities in sound? What makes the GTs better for you than the V2? Thank you.

Quite simply explained 😉...the HEDD GT now has trebble and illumination 👍

PS.His predecessor...the V2..it lacked a whole broadband spectrum in this area 🙈

Some say there is more bass too with the GT. Does it loose its midrange? Is it very v shaped?

In m opinion the HEDDphone two construction is one of the best in the business.
A comfortable fit that let's you adjust both, size and clamping pressure. Nearly no other headphone let's you adjust the latter.
On top it has an amazing pad swap mechanism.

Useability for the adjustments could be easier, but luckily you only have to do it once

I agree. Build quality is great. It’s not flimsy like a lot of planars, it’s on the heavier side, but very manageable. Materials feel and look great. I don’t feel it won’t last. And on top of that they have 5 years warranty.

Of course I’d love it to weigh 400 grams or less, but I doubt it’s possible with AMT drivers, so I can take this compromise considering amazing sound quality H2GT provide 😎

Was happy to survive the 11/11 sale, with "just" a pair of LinLai 845 DGs, but then i got a pair of GTs on Ebay yesterday.
Hmmmm… Crap.😉
Kind of strange seller, so maybe i will get them first end of january.

But do like the ESS AMT in the speaker setup, so pretty shure i will like these too.

My HEDD TWO GT came in today. One sentence first impressions from a Utopia22 owner: these seem more resolving than the U22, something I'd suspected from the reviews and hoped for, and it seems to be true. However vocals can sound a bit weird & unnatural, compared to the U22. We'll see how that progresses as the headphone breaks in. Time will also tell if I decide to sell my Utopia 22.

Congratulations!

I think you'll find the H2GT definitely benefits from 100+ hours of burn in. To me the H2GT was 90% there out of the box. The other 10% has come with usage and finding what DAC and amp settings allow it to shine.

If you have a Nutopia, the 2 would be the wrong choice.... I would go for the GT if I were you 😎
