Heaphone advice needed (eggo D66 or AT-AD500)

Hi i'm going to buy a new headphone pretty soon for my portable use.....which one is a better buy the Audio Technica AD500 ($99) or the Eggo D66($89)? i'm currently using the MX400 bud....willl i hear a huge difference between the mx 400 to those headphones that i'm considering above?

A500 are IMHO the best closed headphones in their price range, for home/work use. I've not heard the Eggos though.

and for those who has A500, is it made in Japan or somewhere else?

A900s are made in Japan, if that helps. I presume the A500s are made in the same place.
