I apologize if this isn't the right sub forum for this question.
 
I need a headset, mainly for gaming. I have a desktop mic I've been using but it's not loud enough in the game I'm using, no matter how close I have it. I'd really like to spend less than $50, but my budget for now is $75. Sound quality isn't a huge issue, I'm not playing any FPS where sound is key, my main concern is with the mic quality. 
 
So, I'm looking for something comfortable, decent sounding, with a good mic. Any suggestions?

Did you set the mic sensitivity in windows to a good volume?
Right click the "sounds" icon in your task bar and click "recording devices".
Click in your microphone then "properties".
A pop-up should come up labeled "Microphone properties".
Go to the "levels" tab and increase the sensitivity of the microphone then press apply.

Yes I have already messed with all the settings.
