heads-up on an awesome plasma deal

with the holidays coming up i thought it would be helpful to point this out.

Panasonic 50" 9UK, the price has dropped over $1000 in 3 months, plus $100 rebate from Panasonic.. i bought this from Visual Apex about a month ago for $2050, then when it was in shipment the price dropped twice just over $100 each time and they credited me the difference without any hesitation. the price just dropped again this week.

i can tell you first hand that the picture quality is fantastic and the set is really nice in all black. its a professional display with image size/pos adjustments to correct overscan, plus color and gamma adjustments that the consumer models dont have. it doesnt include stand or speakers but it does have built in 10watt/ch speaker amps.

edit: now that i look again it seems Panasonic is offering a 5year warranty on this with rebate.

ive never heard of Panasonic commercial panels having any widespread problems, some 8UK sizes had a black level fluctation to save power in high contrast scenes but there was a work around in the service menu, the 9UK is this years new model i dont notice any black level fluctuation.
