ArcTeryx ,

I onced bid agaist him on a wired remote for my D-311. His winning bid price was 40 dollars for a wired remote! I wish I push his price a bit higher, b/c his maximum bid price was so high and I was afriad if I win I'll have to pay premium for a remote controller. So I stepped aside.

ArcTeryx,

I'm sure that he is a hidden member in headfi. No one else in the world will be as crazy as this guys. Be real, no one will know that D-777, D-555, D-311...are all great player. No one will know about the D-311 unless he read an excellent review of PCDPs by Duncan.

I have had some contact through emails with 50th-state. I directed him here when he started expressing interest in PCDP's. We got into a few bidding wars over some portable cassette players when I started collecting. I don't think he was a member here yet, but may have joined by now.

Luckily that I didn't have a bidding war agaist him, otherwise, I probably don't have any PCDP! I am lucky to be an early adoptor...most of the PCDPs here were recommended by Duncan, and me. Meithkiller used to own lots and lots of PCDPs as well.

Thanks! Except that my e-mails have been getting bounced back from the seller (not to mention that my German speaking friend is getting irritated for excessive translation requests).

It's not looking good. Damn things are rare, aren't they?

He's beaten me out of a few auctions too.

I just emailed 50th-state and it wasn't him who won it. It must've been someone here...

It seems like now being the highest bidder for a vintage PCDP doesn't mean you are the winner. The trend looks seem that the first person that can work a deal with the seller behind the scenes before others win. There goes my chances of bidding on that item.
