Hi,
I have a Headroom balanced amp with the DAC module. I am currently connecting to it via USB ans using my notebook as the source. I am using Foobar and ASIO4ALL and I am successfully bypassing Windows K-Mixer.
What I am also doing is running the Resampler DSP. I have set the re-sampler to 44.1Khz given the 16bit sources and that USB is designed for 16bit. What I found when I changed the sampling option to 48K in this DSP, is that the sound quaility improved! I have found that the opposite is true with other DACs, ie, of the source is 44.1Khz, then 44.1Khz is what this DSP should be set to. maybe this is a characteristic of the Cirrus Logic DAC chip?
Any thoughts on this and in how to optimise PC as source performance for the this Headroom amp and DAC?
Many thanks
