Hi there Head Fi,
I've recently landed a sweet paid internship and recently got my first paycheck so I figured I get something I really don't need but really want.
I love my SRH840's for hip-hop, rap, and electronica as I love my SR225i's for all types of rock and pop. These two headphones are really crisp and detailed meaning they can deal with fast paced music very well. However, I feel at times that these headphones underperform in genres such a folk, acoustic, and certain types of jazz.
I guess what I'm really looking for are a set of headphones that offer a warm, deep and rich sound. The only headphones that I know of that may offer this are the Beyerydynamic DT770's which seem to be my first choice so far because of its sound signature and because of the comfort level provided. I am open to suggestions from you guys though otherwise I will probably go ahead and get the Beyer's. My budget is under 300 with tax/shipping and if its available on Amazon that is a huge plus.
Other headphones I was considering (since I might want to pick up a portable pair of cans) were the TMA-1's. As of late nothing else has really caught my eye. Thank you in advance!
