Ety's are more detailed, clearer, more musical in a neutral sort of way, you don't have to worry about noise around you, the treble is simply beautiful, the mids are smooth, bass is light but tight.... Ahhhhhh

Listening to 'em now, they're so wonderful

john: As you're willing to try a lot of phones, I'd recommend to try the beyerdynamic DT531 and the Philips HP890, too. Maybe these seem a bit cheap to you, but both have a unique and very nice sound, so give them a chance if you can.

Greetings from Munich!

Manfred / lini

P.S.: If you try the K501, maybe you should try the new K240 Studio, too.

Team AKG: are the 501s really top tier headphones? Or are they just great bang/buck?

Top tier? They can't hang with the big boys, but if you want to be bored into a coma while listening to music, then you should give them a try.

Senn HD-600
