He might have meant Jim Nabors, who was rumored to have been married to Rock Hudson. Turns out it wasn't true. Simply an urban legend. Same goes with the reports that Jim had died of an apparent drowning. Someone mistakenly identified him as the man they saw bobbing up and down on the Hudson.

Wow- I didn't expect so many replies. By neighbors I just mean the people sitting next to me trying to study. I was using the earbuds that came with my ipod and the music is really not that loud to me, but everyone tells me they can hear it. I'm just trying to be polite and keep my music to myself. I've been looking up those IEM's- they sound like a feasible solution.

Most closed-back headphones should take care of that.
Should be no problem regardless of design though, unless you blast really high volumes.
