headphones that don't break within a week or two

I'm in need of some advice about headphones, I bought a new pair the other week, because an older pair had broken, and now the new ones are broken, and I do try and be careful with them. So I'm after some heaphones that aren't so fragile!

I only want the small earbud type of headphones. I've never really spent much on headphones, because I couldn't be bothered working out what the difference was between them all, but now that they keep breaking I am willing to spend a bit more if I someone could advice me on a more durable pair.
