Hi all! I knew about this site through your "Headphones buying guide" which I found very useful in the past.
Recently I came to the conclusion that I was not happy at all about listening to music "on the go" with the Apple earbuds... no basses and a lot of noise coming from outside.
So I began searching for a pair of closed headphones for everyday outdoor use, and I think this forum is great for me.
My budget is under 100 € and I'd love good comfort, good balanced sound overall and great isolation.
Thank you for any help!!!

A little over your budget, but I enjoyed them for years until I upgraded to a pair of Beyer T51p

Thank you for the answer! I like them but they're too expensive... consider that I have to carry them everywhere, bike, train, and I use them mainly on my iPod. I was interested in Takstar PRO80, what do you think?

Closed headphones that isolate well  tend to be uncomfortable due to high clamping force and/or ears overheating. I rarely use closed headphones now due to my ears overheating, and instead use IEMs(in the ear canal isolating earphones) when I want sound isolation and it is safe to have it. It takes some time to get used to IEMs.
Aside from not getting hot ears, another benefit to using IEMs is that they will fit in a pocket with a player or phone. One can also get better sound at a lower price with IEMs, although IEMs don't tend to last as long as headphones.

There are many IEMs to choose from depending on the type of sound you want, and your budget. Some IEMs isolate much better than others.

I tried IEMs before but I found them all uncomfortable for my ears... For the last 2 suggestions: I am looking for headphones under 100 €, those are over 250! Any other? I appreciate any help thank you

Pick up a pair of V Moda xs second hand from eBay. They sound great, are virtually indestructible, fold up really small and come with a useful clamshell case. The xs are my travel headphone of choice and believe me I've tried a lot of different cans.

EDIT: There's a new pair currently on eBay UK for £110 -

IEMs might be uncomfortable, especially for those who aren't used to them, however many including myself have come to the conclusion that closed headphones which isolate well are much  more uncomfortable than IEMs.

Wow I didn't know the V-Moda brand and I love it, I like the XS a lot... My only issue regards isolation. I listen to a lot of music while riding my bike, do they perform well in this case? For the IEMs I understand your point but I prefer a bit less isolation and not buying them because I have strange ears... IEMs don't fit, they always fall of

As for IEMs, they come in a variety of sizes and shapes. IEMs are in the ear canal isolating earphones. Many think of them as being ear plugs which also provide sound.  I have never had a problem of IEMs falling out. I did have a problem of traditional earbuds which don't isolate at all falling out of my ears. When I need to hear my surroundings for safety reasons, I use earphones without isolation which have ear hooks to keep them in place. In many places it is against the law to bicycle while wearing headphones or earphones in both ears. Even if it isn't against the law, it is very dangerous to bicycle using headphones or earphones that isolate.

Some find that the IEMs which are ergonomically shaped, with the nozzle emerging diagonally from the side to be more comfortable than those that have nozzle emerging straight from the center. There are also IEMs like the Shure SE215 which can only be worn with the cord over the ear. Some love those, while others hate those.

Surely riding a bike it's better to have your hearing unhindered by music and concentrating on traffic noise instead? I find the XS to isolate quite well though they are 'on ear' so will never completely block out background noise.

Why not email the UK eBay supplier and ask them what the cheapest shipping to Italy would be? As the combined price is bound to be cheaper than 200 Euros.

Ok thank you... Sure they are a little pricey, here in Italy on Amazon they cost 200 €. Something similar but less expensive?
