Im looking for a new set of headphones for gaming and music. I currently have a fiio E10k and a pair of Hyperx Cloud 2's. My budget is about $300. I want something that has really good quality sound, with a decent soundstage. Im set on getting the Hifiman He400S as the reviews are really good and is easy to drive. Ive looked in a few threads here and have decided to get them. Im just looking to see some more imput from everyone as to if this is a good decision or not for my needs.

400s has ok soundstage,i wouldnt call it wide or exceptional, but it sounds damn good...

my advice to people that ask this question, and it gets asked A LOT is this:

What % is going towards gaming vs. music?
                         AND
What type of games do you play?

E10K should decently drive them.

Probably 60% games 40% music. I mostly play FPS and open wolrd (cs:go/arma and lots in between). I want something that really brings these worlds alive. In music I want to hear things ive never heard from cheap headphones and want it to be really clean.

The T90 looks really nice! People say the bass is better and overall the sound is much more airy. I dont know much about High End cans but these really seem perfect for what im looking for. The soundstage is said to much more open and easy to pinpoint different instruments/sounds. Definitely looking into these more than the 400S, thank you!
