Hey, I am currently using an unamped cowon s9 and some um3x with large oval single flange klipsh tips.
I ADORE my current set up, but im looking to get some decent headphones for practicallity - they will probably be used for both home use and on the go. i still havent decided if i want an open or closed headphone but i dont want noise cancelling because i dont like the humming sound produced.
Thanks for your help guys.
PS 400 bucks is an absolute MAXIMUM, preferably if theres something decent availible for significantly cheaper im all ears

well...  since you already have IEMs, then in my opinion you don't really need to get a really isolating/closed headphone.
you might want to get something that is different from your IEMs.
an open headphone for serious at home listening.  one that will give you the spacious presentation that the IEMs will not.
