I've had my HD555 for a bit now and I feel that it's a bit dull for music listening and that I'll just leave it hooked up to my TV for movies and games. What headphones would you recommend for music listening (that are also available through headphones.com.au)?

have u tried using an Amp with HD555?

if u find HD555 a bit dull then HD595 is a good update..its a brighter headphone and has little more detail in upper mids. but u wont notice a big difference for the money u pay.

whats your budget? if u have budget for an amp too then checkout HD600...the ultimate upgrade for HD555.

ANYTHING!!!
I bought my brother a set, and having the 650s really made them sound yuk, and the cable....god I'm a snob now eh.
The 555s sounded "brighter" than my 650s and the Beyerdynamic DT990s are nice and bright in my opinion, massive detail, so maybe not for the MP3 groovers.
My problem is I compare to the darkness of the 650s.
But I would recommend the Beyerdynamic DT990s as a non disappointing set of cans.
If you can't afford 650's don't try them, your heart or wallet will break.
It's the bass, man!

ms1 should not be 'dull' and will be much different from the hd555... allesandro's are way overpriced at that site btw. otherwise look at the AudioTechica (a700/ad700)? don't know about their price competitiveness there but are good cans.
