I need help trying to get a pair of drivers out of my Pioneer HRM-5's. The yoke broke due to an engineering flaw so I am trying to transplant the drivers from the HRM-5's into an enclosure of an HRM-7. I have 2 questions/issues:

Issue 1: The problem with trying to remove these drivers is that in both headphones they appear to be glued into place rather than being screwed or mounted with brackets (as seen in the pictures). I tried and failed to pop them out safely. At first glance it seems impossible to remove them without breaking them. I figured there must be a way to do it because these are professional grade headphones which likely need to be serviced. There must be a way to remove them without completely destroying them. Has anybody had any success removing drivers that are glued in place with any set of headphones?

Issue 2: the other question I have is with regards to the enclosures effect on sound quality. Both headphones have bass reflex chambers so I assumed that they have similar acoustic properties. I figured I could drop the drivers of the HRM-5's into the other enclosure without too much effect on the sound. Am I right to assume that? Are the enclosures designed specifically for each driver because of their unique acoustic qualities?

If anyone regularly mods headphones and has experience with either of these issues, I'd really appreciate the help/insight. Thanks
